For three days in February a Malaysian TV show came to Wiltshire Martial Arts to film two of thier own Martial Artists on a crash course in Aikido and Systema.
All guests and beginners are always made very welcome and it was no exception for our Malaysian guests. They trained hard going through warm ups, conditioning, Aikido basics and an introduction to Systema, a new experience for them. On the third day they were tested in an arena to put thier new found skills to the test. They both fared well.
The programme is due to be aired in July and I will put a link to it on the website. Made me think about Saito Sensei’s comment about Aikido and the martial arts being a way to bring the world together in peace. What a beautiful oxymoron.
