Amazon Jungle Survival Expedition
19 Oct – 2 Nov 2026 · Ecuador & Costa Rica · 15 Days of Adventure
Your chance to experience an extraordinary journey into the iconic Amazon Rainforest.
This is a rare invitation to step outside the known world and into a primal arena of human potential. By choosing to do something truly difficult in the ancient power of the Amazon, one of the the world’s most awe-inspiring frontiers, you don’t just learn timeless survival skills; you intentionally expand your world. You deepen your level of mental clarity, grit, and self-reliance that makes you more formidable in any environment. You will return not just with new skills and friendships but more grounded, capable and yes braver with a ‘frontier’ mindset that serves as an amplifying asset in life and leadership.
This is your chance to experience one of the last truly wild places on Earth—deep in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. You will step into a world that rewards precision, calmness, and demands your total presence. As one of my instructors once told me, ‘you cant fight the jungle, you will only lose, you have to learn to flow with it.’
In October 2026, I’ll be leading our fifth Jungle Expedition—this time to the mighty Amazon.
The last four expeditions have been an incredible privilege to lead. This one will go deeper into learning about the jungle and the skills needed to survive.
Three Phases. Fifteen Days. One Life-enhancing Experience.
After months of planning, I’m thrilled to share the details of our next adventure.
Location: The Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador
☀️ Dates: 19 October – 2 November 2026
️ R&R: Three nights in Costa Rica to rest, recover, and integrate the experience.
Please note: A significant number of spots have already been reserved by previous expedition members.
That leaves limited spaces remaining…
The Expedition Structure
The journey will follow three distinct phases:
Phase 1: Acclimatisation in Quito:
We’ll land in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, nestled high in the Andes.
After a night’s rest we will enjoy a cultural tour of Quito, exploring its beautifully preserved colonial Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), vibrant plazas, artisan markets, and panoramic views from El Panecillo.
We will then descend into the Amazon basin via short flight and meet the Kichwa – our guides for the Amazon.
Phase 1 (cont): The Jungle training and acclimatisation phase – Learning from the experts.
The first night will be spent at the lodge of the local guides with a traditional meal and a nocturnal walk to experience nighttime wildlife and the jungle’s magical bioluminescence.
The next day we begin the adventure with a canoe trip deep into the Amazon rainforest and set up a base camp.
The next two days will be focused on skills. We will be guided by an experienced local team from the region, who will introduce us to indigenous jungle knowledge, wildlife tracking, and survival skills passed down for generations. The locals will teach us their skills for not just surviving but thriving in a jungle environment. Amongst the skills they will teach are:
- Shelter building: How to find and use suitable materials such as vines and palm leaves for building, binding, roofing etc.
- Fire lighting: How to get a fire going without matches and using natural materials.
- Tool Crafting: The guides will show us how to make basic tools and weapons like spears, bows, and arrows using natural materials.
- Fishing: Practice traditional Kichwa fishing methods, such as using spears or nets and learn to cook over an open fire
- Foraging: How to identify edible and medicinal plants.
- Jungle Exploration: Learning navigation and movement through the forest using natural landmarks, signs and how to move silently through the forest.
- Animal Tracking: Learn about animal tracking, how to use bird and animal calls and track wildlife such as tapirs, peccaries, and possibly jaguars.
- Nighttime Exploration: Learning how to move safely at night and track/spot for nocturnal creatures like owls, frogs, and caimans.
- Water Survival Training: Learn how to find clean water sources in the jungle, including water purification techniques using plants and vines.
This phase will be relaxed, learning the required skills and preparing the body and mind for the jungle, adjusting to the heat, humidity and environment and gaining vital knowledge about local wildlife, terrain, and safety.
Phase 2: The Jungle Survival phase (pictures from previous expeditions).
This is true Jungle Survival.
After two full days of training and assimilation of the skills and knowledge required you will go off in small teams with a local guide for safety and observation to put into practice all that you have learned.
As a small group you will need to work together as a team to:
-
Navigate through the Jungle to find a suitable location for your camp.
-
Build your own shelter or shelters.
-
Get a fire going.
-
Forage and fish for food.
- Your local guide will be there for monitoring and safety but will leave you to put into practice your newly acquired skills and knowledge.
Expect temperatures of around 30°C by day and 22–25°C at night. Wildlife sightings may include:
-
Jaguars
-
Sloths
-
Macaws
-
Anacondas
-
Poison dart frogs
-
Howler monkeys
-
Harpy eagles
At the end of this 2 day phase we will come back together to debrief and share stories.
We will then return to the lodge via canoe, spend a night there and then return to Quito for a night.
Phase 3: Rest and Recovery in Costa Rica
On Day 11, we fly north to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica for 3 nights of well-earned rest and reflection by the Pacific coast. Think: golden beaches, wild jungle nearby, great food and shared stories.
This R&R time is not just a luxury—it’s a vital space to absorb what the expedition has stirred in you. You’ll return home physically tired but deeply touched by the experiences you have shared.
